About Me My name is Carlton "Carl" Cox and I am a retired Firefighter. Before my career as a Firefighter I was in the worlds greatest Navy for 9 years.
During that time I had the privilege of serving on the USNS Pvt. Jose F. Valdez T-AG 169 from November of 1963 to the end of March 1964. Before I left the ship prematurlly with a illness I had the honor of becoming a Trusty Shellback. On this web site you will find pictures of a lot of the crossings of the Valdez.
